Standard Process Zinc...

06 June 2009 - 09:17 AM

Has anyone had a problem or NOT had a problem with Standard Process's Zinc Liver Chelate?

My nutritionist has me on it --but it has oat flour in it. I'm a little worried about it. But I KNOW I need the zinc.

It Would Help To Have Some Happy (or Working On It) Anectdotes

31 May 2009 - 12:43 PM

Has anyone good stories about how they're loved ones managaed? Or are any of you loved ones of celiacs and can tell me how you worked on coping with the disease?

It's been terribly difficult for my family to figure it out--though my mother is wonderful. I was just diagnosed a few weeks ago...I got even more ill with parasites soon after and am twenty pounds underweight.

Stories, please?

Experience With Parasites?

27 May 2009 - 06:07 PM

I guess being gluten-ed to heck and back weakened my immune system--I'm full of parasites too.

Has anyone else gone through that? I was just thinking I felt better as I got through a few weeks free of all gluten, and then I started getting more GI symptoms and I've PARASITES.

What to do? Or I'd love just to hear if anyone else has gone through this. It's awful.

How Strict "gluten-free Diet"?

20 May 2009 - 08:43 AM

I just went gluten-free after diagnosis.

How strict to all of you or any of you have to be about what foods you ate while healing? I seem to be having mild reactions to most complex carbs, maybe some fruits...and I'm worried. Though I haven't had any gluten explosion since I ate cookies last week before the diagnosis.

Did any of you develop food allergies? Did they go away? I can't do lactose either.

Athletics And Gluten-freeing It...

19 May 2009 - 06:07 PM

Hey...

I'm insanely athletic; I ran every day, even on gluten--in fact, got a high from it and felt so anxious I was nearly wearing myself into a rag when I was really ill (rather a long story).

But is there anyone else here who is or was an athlete, went off gluten, and had the detox leave them drained? I feel better...but so weary. Like I need to sleep a lot; though not in the foggy wheat-induced way.

How long did it take you to be back into a normal routine of running, biking, fencing (I fence), or whatever it is you did? And how long to gain a little weight? I'm 5'7 and 95 lbs.

Thanks so much for your responses.
