About Me
I was diagnosed right after turning 16, nice birthday present lol! It's kinda hard to have celiac disease in a small town like CJ, Missouri because nobody knows what it is. You have to explain it over and over and it can be tiring. Anyway enough of that! The thing that's getting me through is my friends and family. Taylor Swift and Lili Taylor are my role models because they aren't afraid to be different...and a little crazy! Being the only one in my family with celiac disease qualifies me as different in their eyes. It can be really annoying when people avoid you like your illness is contagious. I just want to eat normal food!!! Craving cookies!!!

Live Love Laugh! I love helping people and helping them feel more accepted. I don't like how some people get treated badly just because they are different. Everyone is special and unique and the world would change without them!

Hey I am 16, diagnosed Celiac May 26, 2009 It can be hard sometimes trusting others to cook for you. Most of the time you only trust yourself to make food that won't hurt you. I have been glutened by people that only had the best of intentions. The only way to really avoid this is to bring food when you go anyplace that isn't home to eat. At first it may offend people but if you explain they will agree that your health comes first.

From what I've heard many people gain weight before they start losing it. I think it is all part of the healing process. I've been gluten-free for two months and have finally started walking and jogging but it is still really easy to over-do it and have to recuperate for a couple of days.

I am very pale and I have tan/brown rashes from the top of my arm to halfway to my elbow. They are round/oval raised patches. They don't itch. My doctor suggested that they may be a type of celiac rash.
