Trapped Gas After A Glutening

11 February 2011 - 05:46 PM

Hey All,
I had a bad glutening on Tuesday :( For the past two days, I've had terrible gas pain and pressure that migrates from the intestinal area all the way up to the top of my chest. I've tried alka seltzer, max daily dose of GAS X max strength and it's still hanging on.
I'd almost forgotten how painful it is. It happened all the time before I went gluten free. This is the first time in nearly two years and I am dyin here  Anyone have any fixes?

Tame Creme Rinse

09 January 2011 - 12:42 PM

I remember how great this stuff is from when I was a kid! I have baby fine hair, and have always missed it. I went into the 99 cents store today and found it! Still smells the same and gluten free!

Gingerbread Men

06 December 2010 - 11:00 AM

After watching the Shrek the Halls special, I've got a hankering for some Gingerbread Men! (sorry Gingy!). I am not the most accomplished baker, but I would really appreciate TRIED and TRUE Gingerbread Men recipes, gluten free of course!
I know there are a lot of recipes online, but I would like to get one from someone who has made them successfully. Thanks in advance:)

Another Successful Girls' Night Out

01 December 2010 - 02:54 PM

I am happy to report that we have had another successful Gluten Free Girls Night Out! The OC girls got together, Sandsurfgirl, Charlie's Girl and I had a lovely meal and great company at Skosh Monahan's. We had hamburgers with buns! Fries in a dedicated fryer!
The owner's son is autistic. He has a separate kitchen for gluten free, and the food was great! It's an Irish Pub-y kind of place, and we're looking forward to doing it again soon. If there are other OC peeps who would like to join us, let us know!

Hi All,
I got some good news today, and thought I would share! I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis and Osteopenia long before I was diagnosed with Celiac. For about 8 years, I have had annual bone scans and annual Reclast injections, only to learn it was getting worse.

I have been gluten free for a bit over a year. I've been taking my calcium, Vitamin D and exercising. I had my annual bone scan two weeks ago. The doctor called today and said "Your bone scan shows DRAMATIC improvement in all bones."
So, the diet does work, and the damage can be undone! I've been feeling really great for about 5 months now. Even my doctor was somewhat shocked with what an amazing recovery I have had. I look and feel like a whole new person!

Just sharing my joy :D
