#704158 Crave Sweets All The Time

Posted by on 31 May 2011 - 05:43 AM

I may be completely wrong but I struggle with binging/purging; I am constantly hungry and when I binge is the sweetest stuff I can find in the house. I've just started anti-anxiety medication (after therapy failed) and I feel loads better. I'm not insatiably hungry like I was before. I don't know what eating disorder you may suffer from but it may be worth considering. Good luck!

#674697 Omg! I Found A Gluten Free Bakery!

Posted by on 12 February 2011 - 10:53 AM

How exciting! Congratulations :) I'm extremely lucky with where I live; I know of two gluten-free bakeries right around my area. From my experience to one though, I can't be trusted! I bought a whole box of goodies (including a cinnamon bun, yum!) and I ate the whole thing within 24 hours...In fact, I'm not even sure it took that long lol Were your purchases yummy?

#673632 Was My Girlfriend Out Of Line?

Posted by on 08 February 2011 - 06:12 AM

I think both of you could have handled the situation differently.

We, as caliacs, have to remember that it's a really big pain for otehrs when we always have to order specially. It's obviously worse for us but it can be hard to comprehend and accept all the time when they aren't the sufferers. As a result, sometimes we need to make sacrifices for the ones we love - since they do it all of the time. I probably would have stayed there, tried to be happy, and not eaten anything.

Your girlfriend, however, should have tried to be more understanding. It's not your fault that you have the disease and she should be impressed with how well you take care of yourself. She should be on your side, most definitely.

#670495 Is Anyone Else Contastntly Hungry Or Craving?

Posted by on 25 January 2011 - 08:50 AM

Thank you both so much for your replies and suggestions :)
LivesIntheSun - when you refer to your blood sugar, have you actually monitored your blood sugar levels or are you just going based on how you feel after eating? I would be very interested if it would be possible to actually track my blood sugar throughout the day. I have a terrible memory and have lots of trouble noticing patterns, etc. Is it possible to get a monitor without having diabetes?
