Does anyone have an experience with the side effects of the Prevpac medication?? I have been on it for 8 days and have felt fine until now. I feel SOOOOOOO awful i'm on the verge of going to the ER. Stomach pain, cramps, bloating, gas, nausea, not really any D though. It comes in waves practically bringing me to tears from the discomfort (and frustration!). Is it common to have such a delayed reaction to this type of antibiotic treatment? I am not sure where to go from here!!!! HELP!!!!

I have no idea and is there something to alleviate the pain or do i just wait it out?? should i give my belly a break and not eat very much today..i feel really nauseus too...please please please help me..dnt no what to do!! kinda scared and nervous..thank u guys so much

I have had similar problems (sensitive to touch under ribs and to the left of my belly button and gurgling, etc) and I have been gluten free for almost a year now. After about three months of feeling that way off and on and have a constant sensitive to the touch stomach and many sleepless nights I was diagnosed with H. Pylori three days ago. Here is a link of where you can obtain more info about H. Pylori (http://www.uptodate....0iITvAhVEvR5#H3) but it may be something you should get tested for. Its usually detected with just a simple blood test and treated with an aggressive dose of antibiotics, but its worth it. I am on day two of the antibiotics and I am already feeling better! Hope you get to feeling better soon! In the mean time, gas-x, a heating pad, and peppermint tea helped me when I felt that way.

Thanks for your advice! I started a "modified" Prevpac today, same stuff and dosage just not in the pre-packaged box. I hope it works and that I dont have to many unpleasant side affects. I'm sick of feeling sick so here goes nothing!
