I am still in process of testing for celiac. My blood test was done after I was gluten free for almost two month and the result was negative. Now it is very difficult to say if there were antibodies on the first place. It is also may be too late for biopsy – I am gluten free for 4 months. I have got a great improvement in health since I am gluten free, but I may be just gluten sensitive, not celiac. So far I’ve been diagnosed with vitamin K deficiency only.
My new GI ordered celiac genetics, vitamins B12 & D deficiency tests, and food allergy panel. I know I have negative reaction for some foods besides gluten (milk, corn, eggplants, etc). I still struggle to figure out what food makes me sick, and I am really looking forward to getting this test result. My question is:
If I have intolerance for some products, will the food allergy test show it? Will it be helpful for me to determine what I should avoid eating now, when my guts are so sensitive?
Thank you for your help; I don't know what I would do without this forum. That is the only place where I get help, at least until I am officially diagnosed.
