About Me

Hello! I'm a 47 year old mother of a 13 (teenager - ugh!) year old girl and an 11 year old boy! I have 3 dogs, 2 cats and 1 soon to be 28 year old horse. I work part-time at a local elementary school in the Speech Department and love working with and being around children that age! My favorite children are the ones with Autism - they are all so special to me!

I love life, am generally optimistic and love trying new things. I'm currently in training for my first triathlon in April with 2 more tri's planned in 2011. Also am signed up for my first half marathon in October!

I have lots of bumps in the road from Celiac Disease, but refuse to let it get me down!

Swollen Right Eyelid/eyebrow

Hey!

I have had this pain or tired feeling in the muscles above my right eye for a while now. My eyes also feel like they are burning sometimes. My eyebrow area looks puffier on the right side than the left and it causes my eyelid to appear slightly droopy on that side. I take clarinex occasionally for other allergy symptoms, but it really doesn't seem to help.

Just wondering if anyone else has this? What causes it? Should I go to an allergist or an opthomologist? And can it be improved???

Hi everyone!

I am so happy I completed my first Sprint Triathlon this past Sunday! I was sick with no voice and did it just for the experience. It was AWESOME! I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to train in swimming, running and biking. It is the greatest feeling to have finished it. Keep in mind I have no background in any of those sports...except bike riding as a child and started swimming 2 years ago and running a few years ago.

If you have the desire - You can do it!

Soy Free, Gluten Free Iron Supplement?

I'm looking for a 65mg dose of iron that is soy and gluten free. Anyone have a suggestion for brand names or stores to look in? I currently am taking 2 of these a day. The one I bought from Walgreens contains soy

Anyone watching?

I saw the first 5 minutes and have to tape the rest...promised the kids they could watch a movie. It looked really interesting and informative. Can't wait to watch the rest.

Anyone have any of her books?
