Didn't try them. Don't they sound like they are made of one of those fiber things like Metamusil? :P

HEE HEEEE! Yes, they, now that you mention it!

In my opinion, you're better off never eating noodles again if ths is your only option. YUCKKKKK!

You've tried them? That bad huh? Oh well, I guess I will eventually attempt to make noodles!

In Topic: Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Hi

I've checked the ingredients of my favourite Chocolate chip ice cream from Baskin Robbins and I think it's gluten free. These are the ingredients that I got from their website:

Ingredients: cream, nonfat milk, sugar, corn syrup, semi-sweet chocolate chips (sugar, chocolate liquor processed with alkali, butter oil, cocoa butter, soya lecithin), whey, natural and artificial vanilla flavor, cellulose gum, mono and diglycerides, guar gum, carrageenan, polysorbate 80, annatto color.

Just wondering if it's safe to eat? I've read previous threads on Baskin Robbins and understand that most of you avoid their ice creams as they do not guarantee being gluten free. But if their ingredients do not contain gluten, it should be okay to eat right? Or is there a risk of getting cross contaminated (even if I buy the pre-packed ones)?

Thanks!

I don't know either, but was going to post a similar question about ice cream too. Mine was Bryers, choc chip mint. Which everyone has told me is an OK ice cream to eat. When the ingredients say 'whey' in a dairy product, are we to assume that is is from the milk whey??

In Topic: gluten-free Hamburger Buns?

I make sure I go straight home after eating elsewhere. I'm soy, dairy, wheat intolerant...severely. My dear daughter-in-law made mashed potatoes for a meal, used rice milk, but apparently used butter or margarine. The steaks were marinated in soy sauce, so my husband went out to get separate steaks for us.She never knew I got sick, and she will never know. We are presently traveling to visit many relatives over the next few months, and they have all been told "no food". Potluck, yes, I can bring many things that we all can enjoy. A relative just learned his daughter is gluten intolerant....so now he is getting a good lesson from his daughter...and he is admitting...gee, I never thought it was such a big problem, now I know.

I've never asked a Doctor for something for pain.....I know it will go away in a few days. I keep a liquid laxative on hand that is very quick working, so I can get food out of my system as fast as possible if need be. I'm retired, and never would have been able to handle this problem easily during my working days, for sure.

Next week I will try the recipe for hamburger buns.

Thank you again, Yes, this may be a greater problem when there is already prepared foods. We are finding this out as school starts back up and all those activities and such that have people bringing foods and we have no control over it. Far from having a small refrigerator and hotplate in my car! lol

Even better, but a bit more expensive are Wilton Excelle Elite 4" x 1 3/4" Springform pans. I used to purchase them one at a time at Michael's Crafts and used a 40% off coupon a few years ago....haven't seen them lately, but they can be ordered online ...google them.

Thanks! Our Michael's is right next to our bed bath & beyond and I need new little load pans and other baking things, since I USED to us the pampered chef stone ones, and I know with the years of illegal foods baked on them, there will be no getting that out!

Had to cheat yesterday, if we wanted to eat and am hurting all night and this am still! What do you do when you are kind of isolated and food is served and you have no control over it?
