Essential Oils Cross Reaction

24 April 2013 - 05:05 AM

I am starting to sell young living (essental oils) and I really want start using them in place of medications and lotions and such.  Just wondering if lemongrass and others would effect me.  Lemongrass comes from grass and wheat is associated with grass.  Am I wrong?  I know that the oils do go through the skin and they effect the cells within 20 minutes.  I am still learning about everything they do, and I guess I don't understand if they would effect me like wheat or gluten would.  Any info you have would be great.  Thanks

Going Back To The Basics

02 March 2013 - 06:47 AM

So I have been gluten free for over two years and it has been wonderful.  However, I have added many prepackaged gluten free foods into my diet, and I am having more and more symptoms coming back.  I was up all  last night and I still can't seem to stand up straight.  My stomach hurts so bad and I just want to cry.  I think I need to go back to the basics of gluten free.  Which, for me, usually means alot of meat...Any suggestions or great recipes you would all like to share would be greatly appreciated...I am allergic to peanuts, raisins, soy, hazelnuts, walnuts, coconut, eggs (I can eat them in things-like meatloaf, just not on there own) also I am supersensative to certain dairy products...  Thanks

Thyroid Antibodies Have Disappeared

25 February 2013 - 06:43 PM

I guess I should be happy, a little over two years ago, before I went gluten free, my thyroid antibodies were high.  They never did anything about it at the time, however, I was having some symptoms I thought could be related to hypothyroid.  They checked the antibodies again, and the are within normal range.  I am still having problems that I would like to figure out, but maybe being gluten free for two years has helped stop me going into hypothyroid!  Thanks for listening

Hypo/and Hyper Thyroid Symptoms

18 February 2013 - 06:14 PM

I have had many hypothyroid symptoms for a few years, however, my TSH is always in normal range.  The most recent TSH test was 1.95, which I understand is great.  I do have high thyroid antibodies 16.2 and normal is >9. My mom and sister are both hypothyroid.

I have many hypothyroid symptoms,

weight gain

low body temp (95.6 to about 97.2)

extremely itchy skin

dry eyes-can no longer where contacts because of it

always feel like I need to push in my throat, becauase it feels bulgy (hard to explain)

very tired

vertigo

very heavy menstrual cycles , every 25 days.

shortness of breath

hypoglycemia

I do also get hyperthyroid symptoms,

anxiety

jittery and shaky

heart palpitations

I have been gluten free now for over 2 years, and doing great on it.

My Dr.  treated me for anxiety/depression when I told him all my symptoms and I was on that for about 1.5 yrs.  It didn't do much but I was willing to try everything.  I have now been off that medicine for about 1 year.  If I go to him again I know he will want to treat me with that again and I just want to fix the real problems.

Is there a way I can get everything balanced without going back to the doctors!  I have never been big into medicine so if I can avoid that I would like to.

Thanks

Son Will Be Tested After He Is Back On The Gluten

28 January 2013 - 05:42 PM

I took my son to the doctor today and he said he would run a full celiac panel on him.  First I have to get more gluten into his diet.  I have been gluten free for two years, so most everything in the house is gluten free.  He does eat gluten at school and at other peoples houses.  The dr told me to feed him alot more gluten for the next five weeks so the test results can be accurate.  How much should he be eating?  Bread everyday?  Any input would be great, my celiac test was negative, but I was already wheat free because of a wheat allergy.  Thanks for any info..
