hey my name is mikaela and i am almost sixteen too!! i started getting sick when i was eight then after three years of tests i found out i have celiac. i never really liked baked goods so it wasen't very hard to go off gluten. i am getting fed up with having to read all the lables on the packages though. but my friends have been really good and always have something gluten free in the cupboard for me. do you know of a good bread company cuz i am having a hard time finding good gluten-free bread??

The best one i found is UDI's gluten free bread and they have other products to that are the best lol

I know how you feel. People either always think I'm exaggerating or they "feel sorry" for me. I don't want their pity or attention. I just want them to be understanding and tolerant. When I was nine I was at a girls party ( she was my best friend at the time)and she gave me a piece of candy with the ingredients in asian. When I said "not thanks, I can't" she said " Oh, you just want attention, you just want everything to be about you. You're being so rude, you should just eat it."... in front of her mother who said NOTHING. When I was thirteen another 'friend' grabbed a yogurt I was eating and chucked it to the ground screaming " You're lactose intolerant, if you eat that you'll have some sort of fit!" Uhm no, actually, I'm not lactose intolerant and you just chucked my lunch on the ground...people like that p*ss me off :/
Anyway just tell them to f*ck off :) They probably don't see how frustrating it is so if you just let loose on them next time they take the p*ss of you or your food. They'll get the message

I no what you mean. people always "feel sorry" for me to or think a 'little bit does not heart'. they always comment on the food i eat for lunch like if i eat cheese there always like 'you can't eat cheese' than looking at me like i'm going to drop dead any minute. then i'm like 'yeah i can' and that happends every day. most people that don't have celiac disease just don't get it.

im 13 and was diagnosed with Celiac 2, almost 3 weeks ago. does someone have celiac all of their life or can they develop it? cus if u develop it, i probably did 3 years ago. when i have gluten i have joint pain. also i have to take 5,000 iu vitamin D pills a day. does that mean my vitamin is REALLY low? or is that a normal amount to take? ive noticed that when i have gluten i get moody <_< what happens to you when you've been glutenized? lol. how did u find out that u had celiac? do u know anyone around ur age with it? i don't i and really wish i did cus thatd be so fun to talk about with each other.

I'm 13 to! lol I was diagnosed a year ago. the vitamin D pills that high a day can make you get kindny stones if you don't drink a lot of water just to let you know. The doctor told me after i took the pills for about 5 weeks and 'forgot' to menchen that little thing. Good thing i did not get them though. I stoped taking them a long time ago.
