I did not have this pre-Celiac, so along with dairy maybe one day this will clear up and I can eat the nasty soy that I did not like to begin with.

I hope this does not come off sounding too negative, but I do not think anyone who sees the physician and has been diagnosed for Celiac should be megadosing on any vitamin or taking more than a multi without a test. It just does not really make sense to me. I kind of get it if you are just not going to the doctor although it is ill-advised. The thing is that if you already see the doctor...well..while you are there. Once you have that test, you know for sure what you need or do not need and whether or not it is worth taxing your system to take.

I find that after a few days on the specific carbohydrate diet I really, really get normalized and feeling better although i have never felt completely normal.
I think it is just so personal what foods each of us tolerate except for some common things. Many of us are intolerant of multiple things which means we can eliminate one and have another that is bugging us so we think we are on the wrong track.

switching topics--
What irks me is the amount of misinformation on the internet regarding celiac. It is so confusing even when you know the facts. I think having this site is very helpful because collectively we are going to have better information that we can have as an individual.

You could simply tell people that you have been diagnosed. Come to think of it, I have never had a single person ask me if this was a self diagnosis or a physician diagnosis or a biopsy diagnosis. I simply say "I have celiac disease, so I will not be able to eat..." Works every time.

How about just saying "Let me pick the restaurants for this month" or find gluten free things he will like to eat as well.

The nutritionist suggested coconut oil and I bought some but haven't added it to my diet yet. Does it TASTE like coconut when you cook with it? I ask because when I was three years old, Mom was making a cake and had coconut out that she was going to put on the frosting. She had her back to me while she was mixing the cake and I ate that whole box of coconut. Then I proceeded to purge the coconut.
A lot. Ever since then I have never even had the desire to eat the stuff.
But I guess I will if I have to.
To me the virgin coconut oil does not taste like coconut at all. Just oily.

Still, I do think it is worth a trial. I am eating paleo and having good success with that. I do avoid certain foods that SCD says to avoid.
Like with everything, you have to find what works for you and that may be different than what works for me and everybody else.
