#913352 Gluten Free In Sf

Posted by on 21 April 2014 - 09:16 AM

We went to Fog Harbor, The Daily Grill and Sausalito's Crab House and Prime Rib. I was able to find something gluten-free at each one. I do suggest these restaurants. The best was Nordstrom Cafe. The best service and they really cared. I hope this helps someone else on their gluten-free journey in SF. Also the Mariposa Bakery was good for bread and rolls. Yumm. :)

I have to eat every few hours or I get light headed. That may be normal. People have posted some good ideas. I eat nuts and a safe cereal for breakfast and eggs many days as well. I do pretty good with that and always carry a safe granola bar too.

#759525 Picky 4 Year Old, Transitioning To Gluten-Free

Posted by on 24 December 2011 - 11:35 AM

I decided I didn't want to make 2 dinners. I have the family eat gluten free dinner. When we all do it, it is easy. Perhaps have the whole family eat a certain way for a time. That will help.

#740661 Word Search Help For Gluten Free Magazine

Posted by on 21 October 2011 - 12:32 PM

I told the mom daughter team I'd help them with their magazine on gluten.net. Can you all help me with a list of yummy things to eat for Thanksgiving that are gluten free please. She's offered to have the kids at my kids' school help her and I need your help. :) We need to make a word search. Can you ask your kids to help you come up with a list of yummy gluten free things that could be put into a word search. This could be fun. Hope some of you can help me. Ex. pumpkin pie

All I know is I hate being sick. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I'm sure your daughter doesn't want you sick. If gluten free makes you sick, don't do it. There are other ways to help your daughter. You tried and it didn't work. We do a gluten free dinner. That is what has worked for us. Maybe try that. As you said, she's gone all day. So what's the point other than that.

Grated cheese is dusted with flour and not declared because it is on, not in the cheese. That can be a tricky one. So that is one way they can get around declaring wheat in something.

#722611 Does Anyone Know Of A Forum For Food Allergys Linked With Behavior?

Posted by on 13 August 2011 - 04:39 PM

I just don't know what to do for the school year. Do I try to allow it to be fed to him in moderation or just say he can't have it period? He gets mean and has no self control when he eats it. Grandma fed him a big slurpy that was red today and when they got home, I knew something was wrong by his behavior. If you know of a forum dealing with this that could hel me, please let me know. Thanks.
