About Me
For many years, I was misdiagnosed with eczema, TMJ, IBS, fibromialga, KP, bipolar. I was delighted and relieved to finally learn that I was gluten intolerant because I could fix my diet and I felt better. I was told to avoid soy and corn, but I have not noticed any difference from doing so. I was disappointed to find out I am casein intolerant (protein in dairy) and I have not noticed a difference from eliminating it. I found out I am cross reactive to yeast and buckwheat where my body acts like they are gluten. I am still looking for a yeast and dairy and casein free cheese, but going without buckwheat is not a big deal though I have to be careful that gluten free items do not have it.
Current diet: fruit, vegetables (except corn, nightshades, mushrooms), nuts (mainly almonds), meat (mostly poultry - chicken and turkey), beans (lima, kidney, pinto, but not soy)
Supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics

I do not have any hard evidence or a reference to refer you to. I think gluten or something else your body stored got released and is causing your symptoms. Symptoms are similar for a variety of issues. Not to negate that you feel glutened rather to suggest the possibility that something else can cause a glutened like feeling. I like what the previous posters said in this regard. I wonder is your diet balanced? Best wishes!

unfortunately it seems like your results are inconclusive.
to my knowledge i do not think your increased levels would be a result of hashimoto's. if anything the gluten could contribute to hashimoto's, the blood test results, and celiac's. i do not think it works the other way.
hopefully someone can give you more information for the meantime until you see the doctor.
best wishes!

sorry i have not read it. but your post captured my interest. from what i have seen it looks like it shares characteristics and ideas with some books i like and have seen before. it seems broader than just weight loss. i think that is just the catchy title thing to get people's interest and get the truth out about the problems of gluten beyond just for those with celiac's. based off what i have seen i would try to have an open mind reading it but still try to be analytical/ "critical" and not just take everything as a cold hard fact. i am interested in reading it now. thanks for the post. sorry i could not help and have not already read it.
In Topic: What Am I Eating?!?

just reading it makes me kind of feel sick. it sounds way to processed to me. it is also heavy on grains. some people are cross reactive to other grains including rice. i stay away from artificial sugars which tend to give people problems even if they do not have celiac's. i would go with stevia instead. maybe switch to regular meat instead of deli meat since it is less processed and has less in it. maybe cut back on grains and add in more veggies and fruit along with maybe some beans, nuts, seeds, fish, and good oils (olive, flax). best wishes!!
