#717577 Progression Of Untreated Celiac

Posted by on 20 July 2011 - 05:04 AM

I just got a book that someone here recommended..Recognizing Celiac Disease..Signs, Symptoms, Associated Disorders and Complications by Cleo J. Libonati.
In this book it tells all sorts of other things that can be "Atypical" symptoms and side effects. It's really quite amazing how gluten can affect every part of your body.
The book has charts that you can look up a symptom and it tells if it's Celiac related, or malabsorption related, and what vitamins/minerals to offset it. I highly recommend the book!

#717416 Argghh !. Why Is It So Hard To Find Out What's Happening ?!.

Posted by on 19 July 2011 - 12:00 PM

I just wanted to add..check your toothpaste ingredients, spices that you cook with, are your pans/utentils, cutting board, toaster new or never been used with gluten?
Are you handling pet food that may contain gluten?
Are you eating small amounts of food at a time so you don't overload your angry digestive system?

Just a few more things off the top of my head. We want you feeling better! :)

#715980 Odd Benefits Of Going Gluten Free

Posted by on 12 July 2011 - 04:03 PM

Eeeewww... thinking about storebrand cake is making me feel ill. It's my birthday and my sweet ole' mamma ordered me a chocolate cake from a local gluten free bakery. I'm pretty excited.

Do you think your Mom would adopt me? :D

#715356 What Good Things Have Happened To You Since Being Gluten Free

Posted by on 09 July 2011 - 12:23 PM

I've only been gluten-free for 9 days. I'm so glad to see this question was asked!
It's so nice to see people focusing in on the positives. Right now, it seems like there are so many negatives in my life?
I hope one day I can write a long list of symptoms that have been relieved. :)

Today at the market I found out I can have Boar's Head cold cuts. Yay!
