Topics I've Started

Flavored Coffee

21 December 2011 - 10:19 PM

I am wondering if Millstone flavored coffee contains guten. My wife and I share a coffee maker with separate components (carafe, filter housing and grinder). We have had that arrangement because she does not like my French roAst coffee. I do not like flavored coffees. Occasionally the parts are mixed up. I really would like to know so there is less to worry about. I have contacted the company but no response has arrived yet.

Iiga Ttg Testing Follow Up

01 December 2011 - 01:56 PM

About 5 months ago, I was diagnosed with Ceiac. I had a follow up iga ttg blood test last week. My numbers are slightly lower than half of their original amount. Should I keep testing yearly? What are some other people's experiences here in this area?

Gluten Free, But Processed With Wheat?

03 September 2011 - 08:57 AM

Both my daughter and I are celiacs. I was diagnosed two months ago and my daughter was diagnosed a few days ago. I am trying to teach my daughter about lable reading. She is 11, and much of this has to be overwhelming to her.

Last night she wanted some gluten free pasta. Here is the interesting part, the label reads Gluten Free, but on the back it states that it was processed in a facility that uses wheat and egg. I imagine that it is under 20 ppm, but it is a confusing thing for us all. I have been teaching my daughter to avoid foods that are processed in a facility with wheat. We look for the wheat allergy lable and then look at the ingredients for the barley (malt) and rare rye items.

Here are the product details:
Company - Heartland
Fusilli

Advice is welcome.

Thank you.
