I know that sauces can be hit or miss on what all they have in them, so I thought I would pass along my modification to my grandmother's sweet and sour sauce recipe. It goes great on grilled chicken or pork ribs :-)
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup tamari
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp rice/tapioca flour
Combine the water and flour in a small saucepan (the water should be cold while you mix, this will prevent lumping).
Apply medium heat to the pan once the flour has mixed evenly with the water.
Add all remaining ingredients stirring frequently.
As the sauce heats it will thicken and become opaque.
Apply to whatever you want and enjoy!
