Topics I've Started

Alcohol

14 January 2013 - 02:46 PM

Alcohol makes me so sick. I took one shot of patron and I know it's gluten free and my stomach burned. I have a very sensitive stomach ever since I got diagnosed, and I can't tolerate any pain killers except ibuprofen. well anyanyways, after I took the shot my stomach felt like it was ripping apart, and I threw up a bunch of times. I drank alcohol this whole summer and In the morning my stomach would feel horrible. I have been gluten free for awhile and actually when i first started drinking this summer all my celiac symptoms went away and I ha add no stomach pain but then it started up again. I don't know my body is confusing lol. But I obviously quit drinkingdrinking since my stomach can't handle it. Has this happened to anyone else? I'll live without alcohol I was never much of a drinker, but I thought your stomach was supposed to heal and be able to tolerate stuff you used to. fresh this can be frustrating. And sorry if my punctuation or spelling is not perfect, I'm writing this on a kindle fire. not easy for meme

Corn Related To Gluten As Well?!

03 March 2012 - 08:59 PM

I seen this on the news awhile ago but I came across the website. I myself can tolerate corn, or high fructose corn syrup. Nor can I tolerate beans very well. I thought this was interesting http://www.(Company Name Removed - They Spammed This Forum and are Banned)/gluten-free-society-blog/new-research-will-demand-an-evolution-in-the-gluten-free-diet-definitions/
Anyone else have an issue with corn

Celiac & Smoking Cigarettes

27 February 2012 - 09:06 AM

So everytime I smoke a cigarette my stomach starts to hurt or a couple minutes it will get bloated and icky feeling. All im wondering is has that happened to anybody? I am trying so hard to quit but I am addicted and I have been using them to help relieve stress sometimes. Can cigarettes damage the healing process??
Thanks(I know it's bad for you but I just want to know if it can make my stomach feel like this too)

Question About Results

06 February 2012 - 05:56 PM

My genetic testing came back positive for carrying the genes. My blood work was negative. My biopsy showed damaged. He said it's possible for people to walk around with the genes and not have celiacs. He told me to try the gluten free diet to confirm and I been doing it since October 2011. I'm not getting this... Anyone else have results like mine?

Im Starting To Get P/o

01 February 2012 - 03:35 PM

I been gluten free for since October. Every single day my stomach still hurts after eating. Could it possibly be anxiety? I can feel (internally, not with my hands) that when I lay down the bloating is right on top of my stomach so I'm guessing that's my intestines. I had a negative blood test, a positive endoscopy, and genetic testing came back that's I do carry the genes for celiac. If it's celiac than why isn't my gluten free diet working?? I am not getting cross contaminated I shop at whole foods and I specifically buy only products that's are specially made gluten free. Right now I just ate a gluten free bagel and my intestines feel like someone rubbed them with sandpaper and i feel like there is a giant ball slowly inflating. I look like in freaking pregnant half the time. I accepted this crap but I'm getting very angry with why i can't feel better. I can't live my life like this anymore. I don't know what else to do my doctor just tells me to stay on the gluten free diet. I can't work and i don't even think you can go on disability for this... I have to support my son i can't have my fiancÚ do everything. Anyone else ever feel like this even on the diet. Can cigarettes cause this? Can stress. If anyone can relate to this please help.
