In Topic: Peanut Butter M&m's...sooo Sick!

No problems with dyes or peanuts ever- so I am going to email the company as suggested. I will let you know what I hear back!

I'd be really interested to hear what they say... I got a bag out of the vending machine at work today and 30 minutes later I was running for the bathroom. It is now several hours later and I am developing a rash on my arms, and (for the first time) on my chest. I was given to believe that they were gluten free and safe...

Hooray! I'm getting close to a year gluten free and while I still have my moments of self-pity I am also coping really well.

It sounds like we are on similar time frames here. I was diagnosed May 9th, 2011 so I am at the 8 month mark. Congrats on getting this stuff figured out. Its hard, but I keep finding other things to be more careful about.

In Topic: Photo Included...tell Me What You Think

I totally agree with everyone else. My blisters start out under the skin on my fingers and hands and if I am really good and dont pop them, then they turn yellow. And then I HAVE to pop them. No matter how determined I am, I can't stand it. Even to the point where I would scratch them like crazy in my sleep.
I also know what you mean about them being hard to photograph. But, I agree with what everybody else has said. Its probably DH. When I went gluten free, mine went away in about a month. Its not a fun diet, but when my hands look even remotely "normal" I get so excited I have to show everybody! Its worth it.

First of all, I can't even tell you how much it helps to hear "I know, I have been there exactly". I don't have anyone in my life with anything that's even similar, so, I am so glad I found this forum! I have also been learning loads from the posts here... My doctor wasn't exactly a font of information, she just told me to read up on it... Also, she had me try the gluten free diet after an allergy test and based off of my symptoms, and once I did, and they all went away, THEN she told me I would have to start eating gluten again so that they could run more tests? Does that sound right? I was like, "No...wont that make me sick again? I dont think so..."

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks. The fact that nobody said "Quit your bitching" was really great. And somehow, today, I feel better. Thank you for all the helpful suggestions and encouragement, and whoever reccomended the wine, I totally took your advice. ;-). I look forward to learning alot from you guys!
