Well now I am stumped.  I have been going along thinking that there will be no way that my blood work will come back normal. I guess on that I was partially correct.

My blood results showed low iron levels, and the presence of AC anti-actin. (My results are in French so I don't have a literal translation). and the fecal test showed high levels of fat.   I had thought for sure that  the Ac anti-endomysium  and the IgA & G would show positive but they came back within normal levels.

From what I read about the tests on the internet the presence of AC anti-actin would be more likely to indicate autoimmune hepatitis.

My doctor has suggested that I have the biopsy done but for me that means a trip to either Singapore or Thailand. He has no experience whatsoever with Celiac Disease.  I guess given the other possible outcomes it is probably worth the trip to obtain a firm diagnosis - one way or the other - but it sure will be one expensive biopsy (I live in Saigon).

Any thoughts or experience with this?

Because of all of the trouble I have been having with gluten, I have recently taken it out of my diet. Thus, my daughter is eating the same food I am.  How long can she be off gluten before it would affect her blood test.  I would like to have her tested after I receive the results of my blood work which will be the middle of March.

Should I have her continue to eat toast etc?  I have tried to rid my kitchen of gluten containing products, but I would like to make sure her blood work is accurate.  Right now she had no definitive symptoms, but complains frequently of a tummy ache. (It happened so frequently that I thought she was saying that so I would let her stay home from school).

Please share if you have experience with this.  Thank you very much.

I am quite new to the world of Celiac Disease. I am currently in the process of having my blood tested and I have to wait until March 16th to get the results. (I am currently living in Vietnam and they had to send the tests away). That means almost 3 more weeks to wait. What I am experiencing now is frightening the daylights out of me. I am not sure if I should keep waiting for the blood results or go to the doctor for a CT scan of my brain. I am hoping that someone who has Celiac can tell me if this is normal. I should add that I just started this morning on a gluten free diet.

What is happening is that my brain feels like it is floating above my body. Sometimes I get dizzy and sometimes, when I am looking at something, the picture of what I see sort of "flashes" to the next scene. I am also forgetting the simplest of things (what I had for dinner 2 nights ago, that I left the water running in the sink for the dishes, important things I am supposed to do etc.) This is very unlike me to forget anything. In my head I am, of course, thinking brain tumour.

If anyone else has experienced this I would love to hear from you. Is this something that could be typical of Celiac. I have read about "Brain Fog".
