Gfd Making It Very Hard To Stay True!

11 April 2012 - 03:18 PM

Everyone out there who has been gluten-free for a while....Every single time I eat something now, I end up with abdo pains, and I look like Im six months pregnant!?!? This didn't happen before I went gluten free. My stomach literally looks like I swallowed a basketball, and the pain....OMG! It goes away after quite a few hours...had gluten-free cereal for breaky with lactose free milk and woop there it was!!!!!!
This is getting out of control, making things (clothes) very uncomfortable even making me short of breath! Its been since March 29 that Ive been gluten-free, and this bloating garbage started a few days ago. I havn't glutened myself so its not that....I can't take anymore with already having kidney pain still.... :( Someone tell me this is normal?????

Soy Lecithin...?

Can we have it?? What is it? We can't have soy right? Sorry for my ignorance but Im still trying to desperately learn! Just ate some MM's and I hope to God I didn't just gluten myself!!!

Bloating While On Gfd?

07 April 2012 - 02:33 PM

This is for those of you who have been there done that! LOL Everytime I eat anything now whether it be dinner that hasn't been CC, or a fruit or a veggy, I bloat up like Im six months preggers!?!? Is this just my gut healing?
The pain now is my kidney, not the abdominal pain that I had before...just the bloating, is this normal?

Celiac And Kidney Stones!?

06 April 2012 - 03:47 PM

Okay all for fear of sounding redundant....Ciliac can cause kidney stones yes? So am I over reacting in asking my doc to do a renal ultrasound, or should I just do as she says and stay on the GFD and suck up with the pain and deal with it...see if the diet helps? How long do I wait...How long do I sit in pain to see if the diet alone will make all things great? Does anyone else on here have ciliac and kidney stones, or kidney issues? Ive never had any existing issues with my kidneys until now and am very nervous just letting the issue sit and stew...especially given the pain Im in from it. Maybe Im just a hypocondriac... :( I don't want to keep mentioning it, but maybe someone with the same experience can shed some light on this.

Really A Pharmacist?

05 April 2012 - 05:55 PM

Well I went to the pharmacy to pick up the script for my prednisone and pain killers (for the killer kidneys that the docs dont care about) and I said to the pharmacist, so are these pills gluten free?? He says, "what?" After three or four times of doing charades with speaking crazy slow, he says, "Uhh...dunno, Id have to look it up". I said, "well can you?" and he says "I could but I don't think it will say". He says then, "Are you anaphalactic to gluten?" I said no its an intolerance but very painful" He shrugs and says, then blahh don't worry about it, and walks away.
Whats up with our healthcare professionals? Is it only here in Ontario?????
