#795270 More Restaurants Refusing To Accommodate

Posted by on 13 May 2012 - 05:15 PM

I went to BW3 The other day with a large group of people, I asked the waiter for a gluten-free menu. He redirected me to the manager on duty which sat with me for about 10 minutes going over the whole menu with me, talking about CC and ingredients. I ended up settling on a bun-less char-grilled fillet smothered in a save sauce with a side salad. Even My husband was impressed and we have decided that we will have to come back just because of his hospitality. When he even offered to clean a fryer and replace the oil so that I can have wings. I was extremely impressed.

#794179 Is It Normal To Lose Weight When You First Go Gluten Free?

Posted by on 08 May 2012 - 04:11 PM

I lost 2 pants sizes when I went gluten free a few weeks ago. I have recently started eating more chocolate and sweets, so my weight lose has slowed but if you notice cutting out gluten, usually means eating altogether healthier, no matter if you are gluten intolerant or not.

#791680 Getting Tired

I am doing my best to stay positive but when I get hit with unexpected CC (ok slightly expected) I get kinds discouraged. I'm thinking its time to put my adventurous side, aside and just stick to the basics and eat at home for a while.

I love making ribs, or wings off the grill, potato salad and some pork'n beans. All of which is gluten free. Some times I do cornbread, or some Hawaiian bread out of the micro.

I just cooked sticky rice topped it with my own sweet and sour chicken. I took a rotisserie chicken and pulled the meat off the bone, put it all in a pan, a can of pineapple, and a can of water chestnuts, Topped it off with gluten free sweet and sour sauce. Heated it until it simmers.
