Gluten Free Cooking School.
25 May 2012 - 06:31 AM
So there is this website that I have signed up for and started getting emails from to help me learn to cook gluten free. I have been reading them, not yet tried them, is there anyone here that gets them, and does this lady know what she is talking about?
My mother is a baker and I would love to sit down with her and make gluten free bread, since she has been gluten free for ten years and still never tried making gluten-free bread. Some of the recipes dont seem so bad. "She" also is selling her cook books and other things that right now I have no interest in but I think that maybe my mother might be.

So two weeks ago I went for a interview with Cabala's I nailed the interview they asked me to do a drug test and a back ground check. They are opening in a few months, I cant wait.
I hate my JOB I cant stand it. I work with chick fil a right now, most of the time its not so bad. There are just so many bad moments that make it almost unbearable to go to work most days. Like today, I injured my knee a few weeks ago, and Im been having issues staying on my feet for longer than 3 hours, with out a brake. Today I went in at 11 and didn't have a second to get a drink let alone take a brake until they finally let me go at 6. I was supposed to get off at 5.
I am thinking that working at cabalas wont me a great improvement, but I think that not having to push myself so hard everyday to run as fast as someone 1/2 my size and some 1/2 my age, then have to stand there and take orders from someone I helped train that knows have of what I do. Kinda gets under my skin.
I know I'm kinda ranting but I've just had a bad day altogether and to top it off I got my monthly visitor today. I was not in the mood for bs and that exactly what I got.

Trying New Things..

Today is My husband's birthday. Its become a tradition of ours to go to a 5 star restaurant for our birthdays. My husband chose The Chop House this year. When I made the reservations online, I wrote a note to them stating that I was gluten-free and would need a gluten-free Menu.
To my Surprise they had a great selection of gluten-free plates. So I had Carpaccio which I have never had, and ejoyed every bit. It was shaved Beef tenderloin, topped with a Dijon mustard sauce finely chopped mushroom and arugula. It was incredible. For the main course I choose a Australian Rib of Lamb, with a sweet herb sauce made with the au jus sauce from the lamb ribs.
All of this I most likely wouldn't have tried if I hadn't been on the gluten-free Diet. I am so glad for this forcing me out of my comfort zone, and try new foods.

Joint Injuries
01 May 2012 - 06:30 PM
OK I am not a fitness person, but I am having some serious issues with my joints, I have to wear a carpal tunnel brace on my left hand due to tendinitis, I keep ankle braces handy, I twist, pull, stain my ankles all the time it kind runs in the family. Just today I sprained my knee. Does anyone have any suggestions on what kind of vitamin I need to take to get my strength back in my joints.
