Ants In Our Bathroom-Need Bug Spray-Help

16 February 2013 - 01:23 PM

This has been going on for over a week now and I kindly ask that you read this whole message. I do not want "natural" remedies. We've tried plenty before they never work. Dish soap is fine temporarily but we have to keep putting it around the bathroom and it's messy and won't keep them out forever. We need a perimeter spray that's gluten free. We use to use home bug spray and now i'm scared to death about gluten and salicylates (another reason I don't want to use all natural...essential oils etc could make me ill i think I don't want a stench.) What the heck are we suppose to use? Someone else asked this question and they never got an answer that i saw so I'm asking again...someone here must know. Sometimes you just need bug spray because nothing else works but i don't want anything that's going to make me ill from chemicals either *sigh*

Cleaning Furniture-Couches Etc

15 February 2013 - 01:26 PM

Me and my husband live in a house with my in laws. We are frequently in the family room with them. They had a dog that died in 2010 who was obviously not gluten free.....as we only found out we had to be last may. I was wondering....are we going to have to worry forever more about touching and sitting on their couch since the dog use to be jumping up on it? Not to mention them eating wheaty stuff and touching the couch themselves? Is there any way of getting rid of it so we don't have to worry about cross contamination?

Does Anyone Here Use Lysol For Cleaning?

15 February 2013 - 01:22 PM

This is nothing to do with getting rid of gluten just bacteria and viruses...does anyone use lysol? They CLAIM they are gluten free and i'm wondering if it's really the case?

Staying In Hotels

Curious how you all handle staying in hotels. We're thinking of the fact that we dunno what kind of laundry detergents and cleaners the hotels are using...how does anyone feel safe from cross contamination in a hotel?

Car Professionally Cleaned?

11 February 2013 - 05:13 PM

Okay so this might seem like a weird question but my husband wanted me to ask about this. A little over a year ago we bought a new USED car. This was before we knew about the gluten issues. We use to eat gluteny food in the car for a few months not to mention we dunno what people had that owned the car before. We would honestly like to get the car professionally cleaned..the seats and all. We've washed the steering wheel and such obviously but the upholstery and floor are something we'd like to get cleaned....anyone know how we'd go about doing this without someone using a gluteny cleaner or something like that?
