Bare Minerals

22 May 2013 - 05:05 PM

Hi!

I need some make-up, so I went to the Bare Minerals website.  Under FAQs there is a question which asks if their products contain wheat, barley, rye, or oats.  In response they list all of the products that are gluten-free, but they state that it is possible these products are made on shared equipment .

Have any of you had problems with Bare Minerals?

Thanks,

Insomnia & Lack Of Energy

05 March 2013 - 04:54 AM

Hi,

I have been gluten-free since 5/21/2012.  I have suffered insomnia since my teenage years.  After being gluten-free for a couple of months I started to sleep better, but for the last two months I am back to only sleepin 4-5 hours a night.  I also have a lack of energy and weakness.  The other day I tried to change the setting on my shower and was not able to twist the shower head like I had been able to before.  Anyone else with these problems?

Thanks

Funny Problem..just Venting

20 February 2013 - 06:33 PM

I have been gluten-free since 5/21/2013.  Overall I have done well.  Since I have silent celiac I do not know how often I have been glutened, but I do know of one instance for sure.  Here lately I have caught myself reaching out to grab a bite of something that has gluten. Like I really can!  I always catch myself though.

Is This Cross Contamination

31 July 2012 - 04:19 PM

I was at Taco Cabana Sunday.  I ordered the street tacos. I noticed they heat up the corn and flour tortillas on the same grill.  Is this considered cross contamination?  I still can't tell if I have ingested gluten accidentally.

Thanks

Silent Celiac

13 July 2012 - 06:06 PM

I went to my PCP in April because I was having some diziness every day.  She ran blood work which showed I have low vitamin D.  She sent me to a neurologist.  The nuerologist ran $2,000 worth of blood work which came back low B12 and an IGA of 101.  She told me I have pernicious anemia and Celiac disease.  I quit ingesting gluten May 21st.  I am sure I have had some cross contamination and I have consumed some gluten.

My question is to those who have silent celiac.  How do you know if you have been glutened?

The only symptoms I can think I have ever had that may have shown some sign of Celiac disease was eczema when I was 9 through 18, diziness, and heart fluttering.
