Not just Kix... when I was lamenting about putting up with my husband's whining about how there are no kid's cereals for him someone turned me onto Trix! For kids my butt... Trix are for celiacs.

Ohhh good one for when I get the need for a sugar fix. :D Yummy!

Are you sure it was the chicken soup that glutened you, and not something before you started feeling ill with that bug?

I was glutened for the first time last week, and it started with what I thought was a bug. After a couple of days those buggy symptoms went away and were replaced with more typical gluten stuff, like stomach issues, headache, disconnected feeling, and anxiety. It's taken a few days, but I'm about 75% better now.

At first I thought it was two separate things, but now I'm convinced that the two were related because I'm absolutely sure I ate nothing that could have glutened me while I was ill with the flu-like stuff.

I had a very similar experience. I really thought I had the flu! High fever and all.... then I realized it was a gluten reaction. :(

I don't/won't ever cheat. That is not to say I won't accidentally ingest gluten but never on purpose. I truely believe if we had not figured out that I have Celiac I would have been dead within a year. I am getting so much better and the suffering I endure is just not worth a piece of cake or whatever. When I am tempted I just ask myself..... "Do you really want that piece of bread or do you want to be able to walk?" If you ask me it is a no brainer! I accidentally ingested some gluten a week ago....... It was awful! I was in so much pain I stayed in bed for 3 days, ran a fever of 103.4, I could barely walk to the bathroom. It took almost a week to recover. Not worth it for me.
