I was diagnosed with Celiac disease about 10 years ago, before it was commonly diagnosed or fashionable. Back then, finding gluten-free foods was almost impossible if you weren't on the outside perimeter of the grocery store.
I'm a writer who started out skip tracing and collecting money from deadbeats and quickly learned that liars come from all walks of life. I never actually stole a car, but sometimes hired big guys with tow trucks and a penchant for working in the dark when “negotiations” failed.
I'm a resident of Southern California, and love spending time in Hawaii, especially on the Garden Island of Kauai. One of the beauties of being a writer is that you get to spend time inventing lies for others to read. So, all those years of chasing deadbeats didn't go to waste and get used at times in my mysteries, but taught me valuable life lessons that I get to use when I write.
