I haven't been diagnosed by my Doctor, my blood test was negative and I'm the test was also negative for anaemia, so he's diagnosed IBS.
I've had stomach/bowel problems for as long as I can remember (I'm now 30), particularly bad since I was 17. At the same time, my hair thinned considerably on the top of my head and has never come back.
After telling me I wasn't anaemic according to the blood tests, my doctor said I could be mildly anaemic and an iron supplement may help with my hair thinning?!?
I've recently started a gluten-free diet and am feeling SIGNIFICANTLY better. I once in the past (unintentionally) did a gluten-free diet for about 6 weeks and this was the only time in my life I've ever been symptom free. Oats upset me too.
Any advice about the hair thing??
