  1. So my December hasn't been quite as I had planned ? Got diagnosed with mono at the beginning of the month, and then had my airway almost swell shut after developing a secondary super bacterial infection and microabscess on my tonsils. Ended up staying in the hospital for three days for that and because my heart rate was elevated. Luckily the hospital had...
  2. (May 2018) So my pharmacy switched generics on me, and before going to pick it up I called Amneal Pharmaceuticals and was told Lillow contains no gluten ingredients and there is no possibility for cross contamination. I was on Portia before, so hopefully Lillow works for me! If anyone has any feedback on Lillow, please let me know. Thanks!
  3. Well Zebra007, you got it I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong, but in this case, this supposedly "great guy" had serious issues. The allergy testing came up with a few minor allergies but nothing severe. The doctor said I had no need to take a daily antihistamine, and I didn't need allergy shots. I get a little bit of morning breath most likely...
  4. so the outcome from the ENT's office was that I don't have halitosis. He did find that my nose was slightly stuffed, there were no signs of active reflux and everything else looked normal. It is an ENT and allergy clinic in one, so I am going back for allergy testing in a few weeks. Until that time I am not supposed to take any kind of antihistamines,...
  5. Thanks for all the suggestions I have an appointment with an ENT this week, so here's hoping!
  6. so March 10th will mark two years gluten-free, and I feel so much better! However here's what's going on... I'm dating this great guy but earlier this week he told me that my breath and body odor really turn him off. I'm an extremely hygienic person...brush and floss at least twice a day, shower once a day, wear deodorant...so when he told me, quite...
  7. for those worried about oat CC, please check out this thread when I e-mailed KIND earlier this year with that question. Their oat containing products are made on separate lines than the nut bar products. https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/106422-kind-nut-products/?hl=%2Bkind+%2Bbars
  8. I've always been an oatmeal girl, but unfortunately at this point, I cannot eat oats even certified gluten-free one. I loved the texture of oatmeal, and that it was always eaten warm. I tried Bob's Red Mill Brown Rice Hot Cereal, but even though it is labeled gluten free, it didn't sit well with me. I agree that Lundberg is a great brand! I ended...
  9. this new abstract in PubMed discusses DGP IgG in regards to non-responsive celiac disease and their diagnostic value: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24392888
  10. awesome news!! hope you enjoyed the pancakes :)
  11. every so often I like to do searches on DGP IgG because I still have an obsession with it Here's a powerpoint from the 2013 ICDS by Dr. Umberto Volta, Coordinator of the Italian Celiac Association Board, discussing NCGS. on the 5th slide it says, "Deamidated gliadin antibodies (DGP) IgG were consistently negative in NCGS patients except for one case at...
  12. did they talk about anything related to the DGP-IGG test? I had a strong positive on it three times and my IGA level is normal, but all other tests were negative, including the biopsy. The 2012 World Gastroenterology Report lists the DGP-IGG test as having a sensitivity of 70-95% and a specificity of 99-100%, and all the other research only talks about...
  13. I've gone back and forth on this so many times, and all I can say is I understand your frustration I tell people I have celiac because I do whether diagnosed by biopsy or not I tested a strong positive three times on the DGP IGG, and I had a normal IGA serum level, but all other tests were negative. It's supposed to be 99% accurate, but that...
  14. based on what you wrote, I think getting tested would be a great idea! does your rash look like dermatitis herpetiformis? what did the doctor say about the elevated liver numbers? check out this link http://www.cureceliacdisease.org/archives/faq/should-someone-with-elevated-liver-enzymes-be-screened-for-celiac-disease that cracking in the corners of...
