Gabapentin Says gluten-free But Side Affects?

Does anyone else take this medication? It's listed as gluten free but can cause stomach upset and bloating. Wondering if I'm thinking I've been gluten when it's the meds reacting on a sore GI.

Burning Sensations

Does anyone else get horrible patches of skin that feel like a combination of having sand paper and a hot iron working on the patch. First time I actually thought I had shingles. It seems to happen as I begin recovering from a gluten ingestion. I bloated horribly this time so wondered if it was the skin shrinking back. Hurts to type as it's mid side back so arm movement pulls on area. So weird!


Specialty Grill Has Chef Asking For Help

Hello, a close friend is a professional chef and is helping an Iron Chef start a new restaurant here in town. We got special privileges to tour "behind the scenes". My friends question is that their new grill, special ordered from Europe, works at a screaming high temperature. He thinks that should burn off any gluten proteins and prevent cross contamination. Does anyone know? Unfortunately they serve their dishes in small cast iron pans on blocks of wood. Got sick from dinner. But didn't want to tell him:( Another plus though was while there he told us of an invite to the chef to join a group of chefs on the Food network to look at gluten free and restaurants. What it takes to offer gluten free, how to set up the kitchen etc.


Can Ground Meat Have Gluten?

I am desperately trying to figure out what made my son and I sick last week. The only thing I can come up with is the Safeway hamburger. Can that be possible? Has anyone ever had that experience? I am extremely sensitive and have been so super careful. Canned tuna got me as the vegetable broth they add wasn't gluten free although Starkist disagreed. Why would there be gluten in a hunk of ground cow, or horse for that matter!!!
