I've read through it and it seems kind of promising. Especially for homebrews.

Thanks,

Thyroid Problems?

23 August 2014 - 07:51 AM

I think I am developing thyroid problems but I was wondering if anyone could relate to this story and how I should present it to my doc. He's a pretty nice guy but sometimes I feel like he thinks I am making up a lot of my symptoms.

For the past few weeks my hands and feet have been getting really cold. Then my pulse slowed down. Resting is now between 50 and 65 (which is borderline normal) It's possible I am just getting more fit but unlikely as my cardio has been reduced. Because I also have been having bouts of being lightheaded. I worked out for 20 minutes on the bike this morning and got kind of dizzy.

I had a cardio check up about 6 months ago and everything came out okay. That's when I found out I had GERD. I also have SIBO. It's a wonderful time!

The other day I had muscle aches throughout my body which were kind of like the flu. This happened about 6 weeks before that. I thought maybe I had accidentally been contaminated but nothing in my food history stood out.

I'm also dealing with high anxiety... so I'm trying to control all this and keep perspective.

I tested my Thyroid last feb and august before that and the results were as follows:

TSH, HIGH-SENSITIVITY 0.550 - 4.780 uIU/mL    my value: 0.945

                                                                            my value: 0.891

I know we're all different. And I don't' really have it all that bad. it's just kind of nerve racking and was hoping someone had some advice before I call my doc here in a little bit.

Thanks,
Jesse

Gluten Free Status Of Rabeprazole

11 August 2014 - 03:41 PM

So my doctor switched up my medication and I'm now taking Rabeprazole from TEVA. The pharmacist did not know the gluten-free status so I tried to call the company and their hours are 8 to 5. Of course, I will call them tomorrow but I wanted to take a dose before 8 AM tomorrow to get this acid business under control. Does anyone take this or know its status?

Thanks!

Anyone know if this herseys xl almond bar is gluten free? Their site says just the 1.5 oz but no word on xl? The ingredients on the bar look okay.

Strange Sensation In Neck, Anyone Have This?

18 November 2013 - 04:40 AM

I was hoping someone on this board might be able to relate and point me in the proper direction. :)

Over the past few months I have had a strange sensation on the left side of my neck. Sometimes it' s near the base of the neck and sometimes near the jawline? I am thinking maybe a muscle. I went to the doctor for this and he recommended a specialist. My lymph nodes were not swollen and I tested fine for thyroid issues. The feeling is not really a numbess, not really an ache and not really swollen. It's a combination of those feelings and something I've never felt before and not able to explain properly. :)

So, of course the ENT thought I was crazy and was more concerned with my sinus issues. Maybe related? I don't know.

I don't really know if this is related to Celiac or not but I was just curious if anyone's ever experienced anything similar and could point me to any reading about it.

When it gets really bad it keeps me up at night. I also get this feeling in my arms. Not really numbness and not really pain. Like a heavy/goosebump/flushing feeling. My mind also starts racing and I have to calm down and just go to sleep. It takes a while.

The only thing different in my life is that I did get a kitty recently who I've been keeping in the spare room until I can get here on the grain free food. I've pet her and shown her love a couple times but be sure to wash my hands after. But who knows?

Thanks for any advice!
