#928214 Gut Healing?

Posted by on 22 August 2014 - 07:08 PM

Thanks! Yup going easy :) I went to a restaurant today, Chili's and well got a gluten-free steak with Mashed Potatoes and a nice veggie. Umm it came with a slice of bread on the top. Ugh! They put the bread on the wrong steak. So back it went. I ended out getting my steak and yup it was yummy! Because I was able to put some butter on it! Ohh my! Just a lil bit of gas but other than that I was fine! Unbelievable! A few months ago I was clarifying my butter! Ohhh the simple things in life!

Your welcome! I'd set it on a paper towel to absorb some of the moisture. I seen someone making this and they squeezed the moisture out of the Cali. first. I can see why now. It's good, don't get me wrong it doesn't taste like egg or Cali. it's good but not perfect! :) I

d do it again! I like stuff that has easy things to put in it. And not 100 different items.

#908033 What Should I Do Guys?

Posted by on 05 March 2014 - 02:26 PM

Sounds like you have Celiac to me. You tested positive because you were eating Gluten. Your second set of test were negative because  your on a Gluten Free diet. I'd stick to the diet. Why go back to eating Gluten and get re tested? You have already tested positive. Sounds like your doing good on your diet.

#902879 7 Months

Posted by on 16 January 2014 - 07:53 AM

Ok it has been 7 months since I was Dx'd , My report is that it is going pretty good in fact very good Gluten wise , but I also figured out I am Corn intolerant , around Oct, so 3 months Corn free. Well going Corn Free is alot more of a struggle than gluten-free let me tell ya! but it is doable! But if I get Corn in me it hits me worse than Gluten!  I am still struggling with something , not sure what my problem is yet. I am doing so much better. I have great support from friends and family. And they try so hard. But I really say just let me do it. They want to feed me lol .... I went to a restaurant with a friend I havn't seen since before Christmas. I was telling the waitress I have Celiac and I am also Corn intolerant , my friend right away said, she doesn't have to know your problems. I said, well actually she does, because she can help me figure out what I can and cannot have. And she did. I had to have a plain burger (no bun) and a veggie salad , no dressing. The girl checked every dressing they had and all of them contained corn. Thats why you want to tell your server. :) I am feeling better have some energy back but not enuf. Maby if they can figure out what eles is bothering me, I can feel wayyy better. But untill then I am going to give on a scale of 1-10,  10 being the best 1 the worst, I say most of the time I feel like a 6, once in a while I feel like a 7. So thats the way it's been going. And again I want to thank everyone here. I have gotten some great advice! Great advice!! Thanks everyone!

#901203 Struggling To Get Better, Loads Of Different Foods Are Making Me Ill

Posted by on 01 January 2014 - 07:27 PM

When I found out I was Celiac I thought I was home free, Then I started having problems again, Big "D" and felt like I was getting Glutened. Found out I was High Fructose Corn Syrup intolerant and corn anything intolerant. Now I am having problems with my face swelling , leg cramps, hair falling out, I have to go see my Dr. It may be Hashimoto's .. I am almost certain it is but I will need a DX .. Good luck and I hope you find out what it is.

#900497 Parents With Intolerance

Posted by on 23 December 2013 - 06:03 AM

Both my parents are passed , I was a change of life baby :) But I was talking to my sister who is in TX. I am in MI. She is a few years older than me. Well when I was telling her all my Celiac problems and my Corn intolerance , she told me that my dad could not eat anything from a can. I never knew that! That makes sense that I am having all these problems!! I knew my mom always made stuff from scratch , I just figured she was a wonderful cook! Now I know, altho she was a bread maker , Dad ate alot of bread. Altho I don't remember my mom eating alot of bread. Ever wish you could go back just to watch it all over again? I think back now thinking my mom probably had Celiac, with her bone problems and Big D problems she always had. But to find out my dad couldn't eat anything canned. I think they both had some problems. And I may have inherited from both sides! I am the only one in my family so far with all these problems, well except my Daughter. But nieces , nephews and stuff not a one. My sisters are all ok. Just me my 1 daughter and her son so far. Guess we are just lucky! Huh

Posted by on 11 December 2013 - 06:07 AM

Ok I am going on 6 months Gluten Free :) I do have to report I am feeling so much better!! Yes I have the problem of my face swelling a bit sometimes but I will get that checked out. But I have truly gotten some energy back! I think that was more the Corn Intolerance , after I quit eating HFCS everything started to get better! I have some fog clearing and everything!! Now If I can get the energy to clean my house before xmas !! That would be amazing! I do want to thank everyone here for all their help. I couldn't do it with out any of you! Alot of knowledge from you folks! It took alot of guess work out of the equation for me! Just to be able to sit down and have a meal and not have to excuse my self is wonderful!! I'd say you have nooo idea but sadly most of you do have every idea! So Thank you everyone!! From the bottom of my heart!! almost 6 months!! I guess I should put the Corn intolerance in my signature also!
