Topics I've Started

Klutz Modelling Clay

10 March 2015 - 06:46 AM

Does anyone know if the modelling clay used, for example, in the KLUTZ clay charm set sold by Scholastic has gluten in it? What about other allergens?
THANKS for your help!

Salt - Which One Are You Using?

29 August 2014 - 05:07 AM

What type of salt is best to use for healthy nutrition in general and esp. in case of food intolerances?
So far I bought the regular table salt (and assumed it is safe...) but now I saw that some of the brands have nasty additives in it. Sigh, even in salt??!!

Xanthan Gum

26 August 2014 - 07:31 AM

I am wondering if anyone has problems with Xanthan Gum?

I am aware that it is derived using glucose etc. from either corn, wheat, dairy or soy, so does your reaction depend on where it comes from?

Thank you for any input!

Xanthan Gum: Where Does It Come From?

18 August 2014 - 12:45 PM

I am wondering if Xanthan Gum I safe for people with corn and soy intolerance? I assumed it was but just read that it is derived from either corn, wheat or soy.

Is it safer to use Guar Gum instead for gluten-free baking?

Chicken Or Vegetable Broth

18 August 2014 - 05:51 AM

Has anyone been able to find gluten-free broth that is also free of corn and soy?

I don't find the Pacific Foods (Tetra Pak) too tasty and all the others seem to contain corn etc.
