In Topic: Weird Symptoms?

Hey everyone!

So I got the blood test results back and I tested negative for celiac disease but positive for severe lactose intolerance I've been eating gluten and there doesn't seem to be a problem anymore which is great. Thanks for all your help!

PS is here a way to unsubscribe to this forum seeing as I don't think I'll need it anymore? Thanks!

Symptoms of celiac disease can wax and wane.  They generally will grow worse with repeated exposures but not always.  If you are eating gluten, get the tests done properly. They might be able to do it when the endoscopy is done.  Ask for ttG IgA and Igg, DGP IgA and IgG, EMA IgA, total serum IgA, and possibly the older AGA IgA and IgG tests.

Good luck.

Thank you! So which should I do first? The endoscopy or the blood test? And if I do one should I do the other? Thank you for your help!

Hey everyone.

Thanks for your replies! I had blood tests done and while the gluten one got messed up (was never told by doctor how long or how much to eat) the lactose one indicated a severe lactose intolerance! I will be doing an endoscopy end of September to look for more damage. I've been eating gluten for the past few days and I don't have bad symptoms like I used to. Does that mean I have a problem with gluten still?

Thanks!

Hey I'm Dana, I'm 20 and I think I was diagnosed 2 years ago. Glad to meet others who have celiac/can't eat gluten!
