In Topic: Glutened While Pregnant

09 October 2011 - 03:38 PM

I just wanted to leave an update.
I did go to the doctor today. I was monitored for 5 hours and had a ton of tests run. Everything with the baby is fine. I was having mild contractions but I'm not in pre-term labor.

The doctor said I either have a virus, or my pains are because of the gluten I ingested. :( Nothing for me to do except give it a few more days of rest to see if the pains go away.

I have gone through my 5th or 6th stage of denial. There are times that I still think... "it won't hurt me..." I've been gluten-free for 6 years now, with only an occasional accidental gluten intake. Those few times have reminded me why I don't want to eat it. I spent too many years of my life feeling like crap and not knowing why, or thinking it was normal. Not any more. Be strong. Your body will thank you. Good luck.

Sometimes the humidity outside can even effect rising. If it's raining or really sticky hot outside I don't even bother baking. As for your beater type, more air in the batter would help.
