I got an 'A' on the celiac presentation for my bio class. Thanks for asking. I just started new summer classes and I'm going to do another presentation on Celiac next week. When I did the first presentation I asked the class (about 30 students) if anyone knew about celiac, and not to my surprise nobody had ever heard of celiac. I brought some gluten free cookies in for the students to eat and they loved them. I was only allowed 5-7 minutes but my professor was cool and let me continue for 15 minutes so I was able to get a lot of info out to the class. Although its only 30 students in my case, it feels good to know that more people know about Celiac.
I have tried a couple of those zone perfect bars. They are great tasting, but I had some stomach discomfort the same days I ate them...Thats not saying it was the bars but I'm staying away from them just to be safe. I also like the Think Thin nutrition bars. They are gluten free, and they have a nice variety.
You should try eating some pear halves that come in the can. Ultimately the pear juice soothes my stomach when I get glutened. It works wonders for me. Has anybody else tried pear juice?
I'm always lookin for new foods to try or new ways to cook different things so maybe something new I tried had something in it. I'm extremely cautious when I try new foods but have been surprised before. The crazy thing is that I've been gluten free for 11 years and never had a reaction like this (if what I'm experiencing is from gluten).
