Crunchies are made through a unique freeze-drying process, in which individually frozen fruits are placed in a refrigerated vacuum chamber that draws out moisture from the foods, removing up to 97% of the moisture. This unique process gives them their crunchy texture and allows them to retain many of the nutritious enzymes (retains approx 90%) that are lost through traditional heat drying.

Most people eat Crunchies as a snack-like popcorn (kids love them!). Crunchies are a great way to get your daily recommended allowance of fruits. Fruit Crunchies can be added to your favorite pancakes/waffles, muffins, cookies, scones, cereals, compotes, yogurt and ice cream.

Shelf life: Approx 18 months.

Ingredients: Mango, strawberries, apples, raspberries, blueberries & peaches.

The taste is good, but the texture was a bit hard to take. It gave me the shivers. More like space food (you know, the sort they give kids to try when they learn about outer space) than ordinary dried fruit. I did like the selection of fruits, though. A bit unusual.
