Wheat and gluten free

Imported form Italy, this flour is full of sweet, nutty flavor. The perfect ingredient for adding more flavor to all your baked goods. Substitute up to one-third of the recommended flour in your favorite recipes with chestnut
flour. And unlike other nut flours, chestnut flour is remarkably low in fat -- a single serving contains only 1 gram of fat.

Shelf Life 12-18 months. Store in a cool place.

Chestnut Flour Crepes
2 cups sifted chestnut flour
1 T. melted Butter, plus
1 cup milk
more for greasing pan
1 cup water
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg

Whisk chestnut flour, milk, water, egg, melted butter, and salt in medium bowl. Let stand for 20 minutes. Heat heavy skillet over high heat. Brush skillet with thin layer of melted butter. Pour 1/3 cup of batter in skillet and swirl batter in skillet until surface of skillet is covered. Cook crepe until its surface is dry and its bottom is golden. Flip crepe and cook other side until golden. Repeat with remaining batter.  Fill with seasonal berries or ricotta
cheese.

Use in cakes, pastas, breads, muffins, scones, pies, tarts, pastries, crepes, and pancakes.

I like to add this to muffins and breads, it lends itself perfectly to banana bread and zuchinni breads too. I keep it in my freezer all the time.

Used 1/2 chestnut flour an 1/2 rice flour to make the most delicious carrot cake! Light and fluffy and moist, better than "regular" non-gluten-free carrot cakes I've had!

This product has great taste, mixes with other flours...a great product! I make my own veggie burgers and this flour not olny binds the whole together but has a nice meaty, nutty flavor to the burger.

This flour has a lovely taste and texture. It's great combined with other flours when creating a large range of desserts, and lends itself to savory baked goods, too.

This product is a great extender to add to nut muffins and other mixes. It has a nice flavor that is not overpowering. I use it when I make zucchini muffins or carrot muffins.
