Yvonne Gifford of Burlington, Washington started Glutenfreeda in 2002 when she was diagnosed with celiac disease. She set out with her daughter, Jessica Hale, to make a gluten-free magazine, which would serve as a way to share gluten-free recipes within the celiac community. In 2006, they expanded to manufacture their own food products, today including a variety of frozen gluten-free foods, gluten-free granola and gluten-free oatmeal. All Glutenfreeda products are manufactured in a dedicated gluten-free facility.
