Coconut Flour is produced from fresh, organic coconut meat, which is dried, defatted and finely ground to produce the flour. It is high-fiber, high protein, low fat, GLUTEN FREE, product. Coconut flour is cream colored with a slight nutty odor. The fatty acid content of coconut flour is mostly lauric (48.4%). Unlike wheat flour, coconut flour offers a good amount of essential amino acids.

Good source of fiber due to its high dietary fiber content (40%). Enhances the flavor of most products (chocolate, vanilla, etc). Improves the texture of baked products.

Shelf life: 1 year at room temperature.

I use this flour to fry bonless/skinless chicken breast. One day we had company so I dipped the chicken in coconut milk and then the coconut flour. I friend it and couldn't keep the chicken on the plate...They kept asking for more.

Good to use in cookies if you don't like to use rice flour (too gritty). I use potato starch and coconut flour combined 50/50 when making cookies. You have to add xtra eggs, oil, and water/milk when using the coconut flour, since it is high in fiber it absorbs a lot of the moisture in the dough.

I love this flour. It makes my muffins taste wonderful. Not too sweet and not to overpowering coconut taste, just right. This makes my recepies very flacky and tasty. I would reccommend it to everyone. I have alot of food allergies and have to do alot of making recepies on my own. This flour makes my job easier. It makes my cakes, muffins, sweets so much better tasting and the texture is better. I have alot of trouble with texture but this makes the texture so much more like "the real thing". Enjoy, Karla
