REFRESHING INSTRUCTIONS: These instructions are given as a guide only. Cooking appliances vary. Can be eaten straight from the pack, or for fresh baked flavor refresh as follows:

I have tried so many breads, as I am sure most have as well. This bread has the BEST bread texture. The only problem I have is it falls apart while eating it like a sandwich. However, if you toast it just a hair it will not fall apart! I love it as toast with just butter... very good flavor!

Dr. Schar's Classic White Bread is one of the best gluten-free white breads available. I recommend usually freeze my bread and toast it as I need it. The consistency of this bread is closer to "normal" bread and has fewer air holes than other brands. I am very pleased with this product!

Makes the best gluten-free turkey stuffing of many gluten-free breads I've tried. A little more crumbly than regular white bread but identical taste in stuffing. I prefer a heartier bread for sandwiches but always buy this for stuffing.

One of my favorite breads, but pretty expensive. Toasting is a must, and you have to either put it in the fridge (which makes it fall appart) or eat it quick, it gets moldy fast. The slices are also small, but I have yet to find a bread that has the "wonder bread" size slice.

I love this bread! I was recently diagnosed with celiac disease and have since tried several brands, and found that most have a vinegar aftertaste this DOES NOT it is dense compared to "regular" bread that my husband eats but tastes great. I started a gluten-free, casein-free diet about one month ago. I have tried many different breads, but this is my favorite! I will admit that this bread is slightly drier and more dense than regular bread, but I just remind myself that most gluten-free products are going to taste a little different. My husband misses white bread in his diet, but this has given him some comfort. It is not regular bread, but it is as close has as we have found. Since I found out I have Celiac Diseas I have been trying every bread mix and every premade bread out there and this is the best so far. Every Schar product I have purchased has been good. It is really small pieces and a little dry but that is how they all are. It doesn't have that Xanthum gum taste like the rest of the breads if you don't like that taste, which we hate. I keep it in refrig to stay fresh and pop it in the toaster.

This bread does taste good. A tiny bit on the dry side, but I must say I was surprised to see how small the loaf was! The slices are the thickness of a "normal" loaf of bread, however they are about 2/3 the size - maybe 3" X 3 1/2".

After doing buckets of research into the best sandwich bread being recommended by previous/current users, Dr. Shar seemed to be the winner. With good reason! Toasted - this white bread is impressive in taste and texture. My husband took a bite and said, "tastes almost homemade". The slices aren't as large as what I was used to when eating wheat bread, but two slices are very satisfying when toasted for my breakfast of eggs and hashbrowns! I ordered this bread based on the reviews and our specific dietary needs (SEVERAL allergy issues for my nursing toddler). I live in Seattle where it is actually very easy to find a large variety of GF, vega, nut-free, etc. foods, BUT this bread is the best one I have found yet that fits our needs. The texture is still a bit denser than I would prefer, but when warmed up a bit in the over or toaster, it is better than the several others I have tried. Now I just need to find a good hot dog bun and hamburger bun!

In Europe I lived off Dr. SchÃ¤r and it was and is sooo much better than any bread I can find here in the States. It's not crumbly like so many others and it doesn't taste like it's gluten free. I haven't made my own bread, so I'm not sure how it compares against homemade, but it's a great buy.

When I first started this Gluten Free life I was very depressed. I couldn't find anything I liked and I still have a difficult time maintaining my weight. That said, this is the best Gluten Free bread on the market (that I have tried) I have discovered that the only way to eat Gluten Free bread is to toast it and this is very edible after toasting. I didn't find this bread all that great. I mean it's ok if you toast it I guess. The pieces are very small. Plus once you open it you have to use within a couple days, which I can't eat that much that fast. You can't refreeze it. The flavor was a little odd to me as well.

Better than other store bought breads -actually decent. It tastes best for toast in the morning which is really nice to have again and because it has psyllium seed husk powder in it it helps keep you regular too!

My son loves this bread - six years old and very picky. I can split most of the slices in half and get two slices from each slice (he likes it thin). I am keeping on hand for times I can't make homemade bread. This is the first non-homemade Gluten Free bread he will eat. YIPEE.

Oh. My. Gosh. This stuff is actually edible. I tried other Tapioca bread. DISGUSTING! Like, beyond disgusting. I mean, I wasn't born Gluten Intolerant, so this isn't delicious, lets eat the whole loaf, but on sandwiches its good. My mom likes to eat it as buttered toast. Dr. Schar makes the best Gluten-Free bread related products I have ever tasted. BUY SOME!

Oh - my - goodness!!! I love this bread! This has to be the best gluten-free white bread on the market! I was hooked on another bread offered by the Gluten-Free Mall and only tried this for variety. I will only be purchasing this one from now on!!! Love it!!! HEAT BEFORE TRYING and taste great!

Excellent!!!! I did not want to get my hopes up (again). But it is Schar and their products are unusually good so I gave it a try. You have heard this before and it was never true but it tastes like REAL bread. Even my husband, who is wonderfully keeping to a gluten free diet so that I don't have to have forbidden foods around me , except for spaghetti and the frozen loaf of bread he makes his toast from, said "It's fine." I microwaved it for 20 seconds to eat as bread - yum! And I toasted it - also yum! Normal - with no off smell or aftertaste.
