Gluten-Free Almond Cookies
1/2 c. Rice Flour 1 Egg 2 Tbsp. Soy flour 2 Tbsp. Honey 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder 1 tsp. Almond extract 1/4 c. Butter Blanched Whole Almonds
Combine dry ingredients; cream butter, Egg and honey. Mix 2 mixtures and add Almond extract. Drop by teaspoonfuls and press Almonds into center of each cookie. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes. Makes 2 dozen.
**Steam Pasteurized: Water steaming - they will be using hot water and quick-dry method. This will kill all bacteria (if any). Water used will be pure with absolutely no additives or preservatives. The result will not affect the quality or flavor of the almond. The almond will have a cleaner look, as opposed to what customers have seen in the past. Per our supplier, a natural spray is used on the almond blossoms in Feb to protect the blossom. No other sprays or chemicals are used during the rest of the growing season for the almonds.
