This excellent video is composed of a series of video-taped excerpts of Ron Hoggan, Ed. D. from presentations given by him at various teacher conferences on the topic of how gluten grains impede learning in sensitive individuals, and how they can affect one's behavior. According to Ron Hoggan, Ed. D., it is increasingly clear that gluten-containing grains are detrimental to learning in humans, and in this video he presents overwhelming evidence to support this. The research indicates that cereal grains, along with other allergenic and highly glycemic foods, pose a serious threat to our sustained ability to learn. Many of these foods have been shown to interfere at almost any stage of the learning process, thus impeding our attempts to focus our attention, observe, ponder, remember, understand, and apply that understanding. Gluten-containing grains can alter learning capacities in four specific ways: as sequelae of untreated celiac disease; through an immune sensitivity to gluten; through dietary displacement of other nutrients and; through the impact of grain on blood sugar-insulin levels. “The mandate of eating to learn is learning to eat as our ancestors did.” --Ron Hoggan, Ed. D.This video is a must have for any parent who is concerned about learning and-or behavioral issues in their children. --Scott Adams, Founder Celiac.com
