Ilove this stuff! It's got a great taste and is so versatile. I use mine in GF pancakes. Only one situation if you're not ready for it--it tends to cause the pancakes to stick a bit. But no real problem.

My son did not like rice milk and he tried the DariFree and did not like th after taste either. I tried making it with adding 2 cups rice milk as part of the water measure. He loves it! I love to use his milk when making French Toast or our own chicken nuggets. It is creamier and makes for great cooking.

I tried this for baking and drinking and it's working well with hot cereal, smoothies, and mix-ins like flavored syrup or powder. I'm experimenting with this and the chocolate flavor to make a good hot cocoa mix that I can take to work. Great results so far, still perfecting. I can see that I will find many uses for this product.

Definitely better to make it with hot water, then add the cold water. They have a great chocolate pudding recipe on their website

I haven't used this with baking yet, but for drinking I don't like it. My daughter ate it on her cereal and didn't know it wasn't almond milk, but she's only two and doesn't talk, so she just ate what I gave her. That being said she won't eat it unless she likes it, so I guess it's ok.

Since I learned of my son's various allergies and intolerances, including an allergy to milk AND soybean.... I was so glad to find this alternative! I had been making my own almond milk for weeks and it was very costly and time-consuming. This is quick and easy!

I thought of using this for baking in place of powdered milk as a non-dairy, casein-free alternative and it works. I didn't expect my 5 year old son to like to drink it! It's the only powder I found that is also casein-free. It is easier to mix if you use some hot water, then add cold water.

Dari Free works adds flavor and a smooth consistency when baking. I find it especially useful in baking gluten free casein free recipes. It is especially great for making almond bread. Enjoy!

I agree with the above comment about this product having an aftertaste. However, I masked the flavor with some coffee and it was okay. I also use it in a recipe asking for milk and the aftertaste was lost with the other flavors, while serving its' purpose "as milk".

My son is perfectly okay with this! I cook his oatmeal every morning with this and it's sooo much cheaper than buying rice milk! I plan to keep buying!

I have been using this product for my son, who is gluten free / casien free, for 7 years and it is my favorite milk alternative so far. I've tried rice milk and almond milk (he is allergic to soy too so that was not an alternative) but if you mix vance's as directed (with hot water), it's very yummy and is recipe friendly. I taste test everything I give him so I am almost like a user!

I was disappointed with the product because it left somewhat of an unpleasant aftertaste. I thought it would provide a nice alternative to my rice milk, but have decied to stick with my rice and almond milk brands instead.
