Celiac.com 11/25/2012 - Cute, decorated sugar cookies are practically synonymous with Christmas; no Christmas party is complete without a plate of them at the refreshment table. Beautiful Sweets offers a decorated set of Christmas cookies that are not only cute, Christmassy, chewy, sweet and delicious, but gluten-free as well.

The first thing any person would notice looking at these cookies is that they are... well, Christmas cookies! They fit right in with the spirit of the season, looking every bit like the sugar cookies we've all grown to expect at this time of year.

The best thing about these cookies though is that they really do taste as good as they look. I am not on a gluten-free diet, and even I loved them! They're, sweet, flavorful and slightly chewy, even after being shipped across state lines. I highly recommend them if you're in the market for this sort of thing, as I seriously wouldn't have been able to tell they were gluten-free if I hadn't known.

Definitely a must try one. This one is indeed a perfect goodies for Christmas that everyone could enjoy. And because they are gluten-free food, this is a health-conscious one.

I love homemade soups, especially chicken tortilla soup, but found it nearly impossible to find a gluten-free recipe that didn't consume most of my day...until now!  I recently tried Frontier Soups gluten-free “South of the Border Tortilla Soup Mix” and ended up with a homemade taste without all the work.  All I had to do was throw in some cooked chicken (perfect for those chicken leftovers), a jar of salsa, and some tortilla chips.  I was also very pleased to see that there was no added salt, preservatives or MSG, and the entire process only took 35 minutes!

I recently tried Amy's new Gluten Free Rice Crust Margherita Pizza.  The picture on the box was enticing, and I was impressed with the list of natural and organic ingredients, so I just had to give it a try.
Upon opening the box I noticed chunks of real mozzarella cheese sprinkled with basil.  It was the perfect size for my toaster oven, but I have a pizza stone so I decided to prepare it in the oven.  The aroma was very promising, and it even caught the attention of my kids.  The pizza was done in about 12 minutes, and it looked just like the picture on the box.  The mozzarella melted beautifully and I couldn't wait to dig in.  The crust had a ...

I tried an Acai Berry Chia Bar today that is made by Health Warrior, and was pleasantly surprised. This chia bar is 100% natural and has a nice chewy texture that is also crunchy at the same time, which makes for an interesting combination.
The bar is packed with chia seeds to the point where it contains 1,000mg of Omega-3's, four grams of fiber, and three grams of protein...and yet contains only 100 calories and 15g of carbs!
For those of you who like to have a quick, healthy snack on hand, this bar is an excellent choice.

Healthy gluten-free meals for an entire week, month or year are now possible using the Gluten Free Meal Planner.  With this amazing online service you can get access to ideas for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  The menus come with a pretty photo of the finished dish along with easy to follow instructions including preparation and baking time.
I especially love the way the shopping list for each week is designed.  It is cross-referenced so you know which food items are needed for which meal, so you don't have to go back and try to figure that out when you return home from the grocery store.
