Many of these brands also make a number of gluten-free barbecue-related products, including rubs, marinades, and other sauces. When I look at ingredients in bbq sauces, they indicate vinegar as an ingredient.  I can not tolerate white vinegar, as it is made from wheat.  Do the listed products contain white vinegar?

White distilled vinegar is gluten free.  You must watch out for malt vinegar (barley).

The BBQ sauces look good, but I can not tolerate tomato or honey!  I have been making a molasses based sauce and one with plum jelly.

Hey everyone, you should try Croix Valley Foods products.  They are all gluten free and everything I've tried from them has been absolutely delicious.  The ingredient list seems to be of a much higher quality too.

Please clear this up. I was told years ago that distilled vinegar is distilled with wheat. I cannot tolerate distilled vinegar, thus I thought it to be true.

    Any thoughts?

Distilled vinegar, no matter the source, is gluten-free. Most distilled vinegar in the USA is made from corn.

The label of the Lillie's Q sauce says "Made With Gluten Free Ingredients - made on equipment that also processes wheat". I'm not sure if that can really be counted as "labeled gluten free".

We found a gluten free BBQ sauce in Gulf Shores, AL called Meat Mitch. It comes in a spicy Kansas City and one other flavor.
