    Celiac.com 10/09/2018 - Remember that time George Clooney handcuffed himself to David Letterman, and Tom Waits showed up and stole the show and then spun into that wild riff on gluten, and everybody had a good laugh? We do.

    Tom Waits has long been a favorite, but when he shows up on David Letterman, fun times are guaranteed for all. Even when Waits pokes some of his chronic hipster brand fun at gluten.

    Celiac.com 08/25/2016 - Star Trek and Beyond star Zoe Saldana recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
    Hashimoto's thyroiditis attacks and destroys the thyroid cells, and is the most common cause of hypothyroidism in the U.S. Signs and symptoms of Hashimoto's disease include constipation, fatigue, sluggishness, depression, muscle weakness, pain and stiffness in the joints, unexplained weight gain, and a hoarse voice.
    It is very important for people with Hashimoto's to avoid gluten completely to prevent thyroid damage. As a result, Saldana and husband Marco Perego have both eliminated gluten and dairy from their diets.

    Celiac.com 09/30/2016 - This week in celebrity gluten-free news, Kourtney Kardashian has put her family on a gluten-free, dairy-free diet.
    The 37-year-old reality star explained on her website how she made the diet change after undergoing muscle testing, an alternative medicine technique that has been widely discredited by science and medical professionals. The reality star wrote: "I don't think everyone needs to eat this way, but we had muscle testing done, which showed we all have sensitivities to corn, gluten and dairy."

    Celiac.com 09/28/2017 - The Gluten Intolerance Group of North America (GIG) is suing celebrity chef Jamie Oliver for using a logo on his gluten-free recipes that is similar to that of the GIG's Gluten-Free Certification Organization logo.
    Although there is no disagreement that Mr. Oliver's recipes are indeed gluten-free, a judge and jury may need to decide whether or not he is violating their trademark by using a similar graphic on his recipes.
