Pure Market Express Organic Gluten-Free Lemon Tart

Reviewed and edited by a celiac disease expert.
Pure Market Express Organic Gluten-Free Lemon Tart -

Celiac.com 07/11/2012 - When I first read the box for this lemon tart, I wasn't exactly excited. I didn't think anything that was gluten-free, free of added sugar, vegan and raw could taste like anything other than cardboard and/or grass.

Oh how wrong I was: this lemon tart completely blew me away. I am not even gluten-free and I can confidently say this is the most delicious lemon tart I have ever tasted. It is perfectly tangy, sweet (without any weird aftertaste) and somehow it manages to taste creamy despite a lack of dairy.

The product developers at Pure Market Express must be wizards. That is the only explanation I can muster for how insanely yummy this tart is.

Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful product with the gluten free community! It is always a bit scary reaching out for new gluten free products as it is hard to justify spending the cash for an unknown product. This tart looks to be just as delicious as you describe, we'll be sure to give this a try!

Celiac.com 01/18/2013 - Pure Market Express makes some of the most delicious gluten-free, dairy-free desserts around. Earlier this year, I wrote a rave review of their gluten-free lemon tart; not surprisingly, their apple crisp is every bit as yummy.
What I love about Pure Market Express is that they avoid trying to emulate wheat-containing products. Their apple crisp doesn't contain any of the standard wheat flour alternatives that you might expect to find in a gluten-free apple crisp (sorghum flour, tapioca flour, corn flour, etc.) Instead, they include gluten-free oat groats, pecans and almonds. Personally, this keeps me from feeling like something is missing, as I'm having a completely different gustatory experience from what I am used to. In other words, I am allowed to enjoy...

Celiac.com 11/16/2018 - I recently discovered an amazing one-to-one gluten-free all purpose flour blend made by Flour Farm. There are other companies making such flour blends, however what has been absent from this space is a healthy version. Most other blends are full of starches and other ingredients that just aren't very healthy.
Flour Farm, however, is made in a 100% gluten-free facility, and it contains only the following organic ingredients: Sweet white rice flour, brown rice flour, tapioca flour, almond flour, and coconut flour.
We tested out their mix by making an almond-coconut chocolate chip cookie recipe that we found on the internet. The recipe was originally one that utilized wheat-flour, and this allowed us to test their conversion directions on the back of the...

Celiac.com 06/28/2019 - There are many dog foods on the market today, and, unfortunately, many of them are made using gluten-containing grains that dogs can be allergic to.
My neighbor's dog, Albee, for example, had ongoing itchy skin issues for years. It wasn't until recently, when her owner discovered Puppo, that Albee was finally able to get some relief.
Ordering from Puppo's slick web site could not be easier, and a unique feature of the process is setting up a personal profile for each of your dogs that includes their photo, name, age, weight, breed, health goals and sensitivities. This information is used to custom tailor a gluten-free dog food formula that is specific to your dog(s).
Once Albee's order arrived we unpacked it to find the 5lb. packages of do...

Celiac.com 11/22/2019 - EpiLynx by Dr. Liia EpiSilk Crystal Serum is an anti-wrinkle skin care product that contains the antimicrobial “DermaSilk,” which is like regular silk but free of sericin, which can cause irritation. It's composed of long, very smooth, natural fibers that help lock in moisture and keep your skin clear and free of irritation.
This luxurious serum targets dark circles under your eyes, as well as acne and dry skin. I found that it increased my skin's brightness on the areas where it was applied, and made my skin feel silky smooth. Best of all it is gluten-free and made in the USA by and for those who are sensitive to gluten.
