Amy's Gluten Free Sonoma Veggie Burger

Amy's recently came out with their "Sonoma" Veggie Burger, which is not only gluten free, but soy and dairy free as well. The Sonoma veggie burger is packed with organic whole ingredients so there was a level of comfort knowing exactly what I would be putting into my body.  I am not a vegetarian, but I am trying to eat more health consciously, so I thought I would give them a try.

Amy's Gluten Free Sonoma Veggie BurgerI wanted to toss them on the grill, but the weather was not cooperating, so I just popped them in the oven for about 5 minutes each side and "ta-da," they were done.  The Sonoma Veggie Burger was well-seasoned and had a nice nutty quality that is usually found in veggie/grain-based patties.  The outside of the patty was firm and slightly crisp, with a semi-soft interior.

I piled on the fixings and was about to dig in when the smell had lured my two non-celiac, meat-eating children into the kitchen (despite the fact that they had just eaten).  I gave them each a bite and both girls said it was good.  My youngest actually requested that I make Amy's veggie burgers next time it's burger night – no lie!

Thanks for this review. My boys are actually the gluten free ones but I ended up having to cut out dairy/soy/eggs and sorely missed having Amy's veggie burgers on occasion. I'll be looking for these!

Hi there! I follow a low histamine diet that Cycling Lady brought to my attention a long time ago. Citrus fruits and their juices are histamine releasing foods. High histamine levels can cause hives just like in an allergic reaction. Here's a helpful site: https://www.histaminein...

Thank you! Exactly!

No, no, no! Don't cut yourself off from your friends and social life because you feel you can't eat what everyone else is eating! I can't think of a single bar or restaurant I've been to where I haven't found something to eat. It may not always be what I would like to order/eat, but I'm not si...

Amazing! You should feel very optimistic! It sounds like you are doing everything right...great job!!????

Yes, I would ask for the rest of the celiac panel (including the IgA deficiency test). Discuss this with your child's GI. He/She may be able to order for you. Share the CBC results too with him/her. I would want to know for sure before giving up gluten to support my child, but you need to det...
