The Link Between Celiac Disease and Bladder Problems Becomes Clearer

For the past two years I've been busy writing something called, "The Better Bladder Book - A Holistic Approach to Healing Interstitial Cystitis & Chronic Pelvic Pain". IT is now OUT, AVAILABLE, and thankfully, getting GREAT Reviews! This makes me very happy, not because I'll make a bundle (I won't), but because people who need help can now find it. IC is a terrible disease affecting up to 8 million people in the US alone, but millions more suffer from chronic prostatitis, over-active-bladder, pelvic floor dysfunction, and chronic pelvic pain. Finally, the connection between between gluten intolerance and chronic inflammation in the body, which often leads to these kinds of problems, has been docoumented in two separate studies. My book tells you WHY, HOW, and what you can do about it. You can find more information on the book at the following website: www.thebetterbladderbookinfo.com. The best in health, Wendy Cohan, RN

As always, Celiac.com welcomes your comments (see below).

Please help me! Urologists have been unable to help me and this has been going on for over a year. I have a burning sensation often, I have not lost control of bladder yet, but its been very very close a few times. They are just sudden quick urges that almost make me lose it. Sometimes I am also having constant pelvic pressure to go even when only a small amount is urinated. I also have dribbling after urinating for up to 15 minutes. I'm only 30, but I'm starting to lose all hope.

Ennis_TX, thank you for your response! I will take heed of all your nutritional pieces of advice, one by one. And yes, I am aware that a gluten marathon is on the horizon soon. Before doing the test, however, I shall try to fortify my diet with the nutrients you mentioned, and report ...

B-vitamins...most gluten and processed foods are enriched...your basically eating a multivitamin every time you have a slice of bread etc. Look for a full spectrum B-vitamin supplement, others can be magnesium, iron, vitamin d, folate, etc. You mention plenty of greens and fruit so ruling out vit...
