Doctor Appointment Made

Guest

I just made an appointment for Thursday November 15th, of course they want a sit down first before they will test since I do not have a family doctor for referral. The good thing is, this doctor is the same doctor that diagnosed one of my wifes co-workers with it 10 years ago, so cross my fingers he knows what he is doing. I am sure he is going to want to know symptoms and such and then he will decide if I need tersted or not.

I have to be honest, I hope this is not it, I hope its something simple. It would be easier. If it is though, let us hope the transition will not be a painful one.

Ohiodad, I bet you're a bit worried about this Thursday, but I wish you well and that the doctor will go ahead and test you. From what you have said, you have got symptoms that I feel they should look into.

So you are hoping it could be something simple that could be causing all your symptoms. The way I saw it, I was relieved when I was diagnosed with coeliac as all I had to do was change my diet. It sounded simple and I was relieved it wasn't cancer or something else. But as you know, it is not simple and is an on-going challenge. The first few months were the worst and then it all fell into place and things got easier. For me the change in symptoms was instant, within a few days, and that was good enough to keep on going gluten free.

All the best.
